We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team in Houston.

The successful applicant will be involved with: The Director of Engineering is a hands‑on leader responsible for designing, pricing, and executing complex logistics solutions for oversized, high‑value, and project‑based cargo. Activities involve working with the owners and operators of heavy lift vessels, cranes, road transportation equipment and aircraft across a multitude of market sectors.
Client drawing reviews
Production of documents (RAMS / transport manuals / risk assessments / engineering reviews)
CAD drawing and design work / lifting drawings / transport drawings / stowage plans etc.
Project planning
Assisting with onsite loading activities (USA & International)
Travel is a key part of the role, both in country and internationally when required.
Other duties as necessary
The successful applicant will have/be:
Degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred) or high‑level college certificate.
Details of work experience
Any safety qualification is a bonus
Ability to handle sub‑contractors on site managing client expectations
Supervise multimodal operations
Proficient in the use of AutoCad LT and Vi‑deck (Vessel securing analysis program)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work without close supervision yet able to judge when advice and support is required
Thorough and determined with a passion for engineering
