Overview A well-established and highly respected organization in the energy and natural resources sector is seeking a

Senior Division Order Analyst

to join its team. This organization manages a large and diverse portfolio of mineral and royalty interests across multiple producing basins in the United States.

This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with deep experience in division orders, title analysis, and ownership calculations. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performing environment where individual contributions are visible and impactful.

Position Summary The Senior Division Order Analyst is responsible for analyzing ownership data, calculating company and third-party interests, and maintaining accurate property and division of interest records. This individual will work cross-functionally with accounting, land, and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Division Order & Ownership Analysis

Analyze title documents, leases, conveyances, and contracts to accurately calculate ownership interests

Review and process division orders received from operators and purchasers

Ensure accuracy of interest calculations and marketing terms

Property & Well Setup

Research wells and establish accurate records within internal systems

Determine key data points including production dates, unit sizes, spacing, and allocation

Maintain and update property master data and divisions of interest

Owner Relations & Issue Resolution

Collaborate with operators, partners, and owners to resolve discrepancies or title issues

Manage and update owner records and respond to ownership-related inquiries

Prepare and deliver professional correspondence as needed

Reporting, Compliance & Data Integrity

Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes (including SOX-related processes)

Support quality assurance processes by documenting ownership changes and well setups

Participate in and support escheat (unclaimed property) processes and reporting

Leadership & Oversight

Review and approve work completed by junior analysts and support staff

Provide mentorship and training to less experienced team members

Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field

or equivalent industry experience

Minimum

8+ years of division order experience

within land administration or oil & gas

Strong expertise in

title analysis, ownership calculations, and mineral rights

Advanced proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

(including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)

Solid understanding of how division order data integrates with:

Revenue Accounting

Accounts Payable

Joint Interest Billing

Preferred

Experience with

Quorum or similar land/DO systems

Knowledge of

unclaimed property (escheat) laws and reporting processes

Prior experience in

owner relations
