Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Marcomm Assistant for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU). The Graphic Designer will support the Marketing and Communications (Marcomm) team by creating on-brand graphics for social media posts and digital signage across campus. This role works closely with the social media team to develop visually engaging content that connects with target audiences. Ideal candidates should have strong design skills, an understanding of social media platforms, and basic knowledge of brand communication. Proficiency in graphic design tools and attention to detail are essential.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.

Position Duties
The Graphic Designer reports to the College of Business Art Director and will support the needs of the Marcomm team and social media team including:
Design Creation:
print and digital materials
digital signage and more.
Branding:
Help maintain brand consistency and update visual assets.
Image Editing:
Edit and enhance photos for digital and print use.
Concept Development:
Contribute to brainstorming and idea generation.
Work closely with team members receiving feedback and making revisions in the design process

Stay updated on design trends and improve skills through feedback and training
Open to learning new skills
Able to work in Adobe CC programs as well as Canva.
Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Must be proficient in Adobe Suite, Canva, or other graphic design software. Must be able to create on-brand graphics based on the OSU brand guidelines.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Please note if you have experience in videography, photography or other mediums.
