Director of Basketball Operations – Women’s

Job Summary: The Director of Basketball Operations – Women’s is responsible for supporting the TCU Basketball Program by coordinating and implementing recruiting efforts; assisting with operations.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

Coordinates team travel by booking all transportation, lodging, securing travel advances and assisting with team needs.

Represents TCU basketball program by acting as a liaison for all administrative meetings involving basketball.

Assists with budgets by monitoring and maintaining a budgetary control.

Implements players/coaches calendar of events by monitoring university schedule/athletic department schedule and basketball schedule.

Assists with recruiting visits by setting up and managing events, both official and unofficial.

Act as a liaison for all high school coaches that visit the TCU campus by planning and scheduling all visits with TCU staff.

Maintains historical information by keeping a statistical database for film editing for coaches and media outlets.

Promotes TCU men and/or women’s basketball by assisting marketing department, compliance and ticket office in meeting goals; providing information and assistance in projects relative to basketball.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience in college or professional athletics including a minimum or 1 years’ experience at the Division 1 level.

Preferred Education & Experience: None

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of job-related policies and regulations.

Knowledge of NCAA guidelines.

Knowledge of customer service techniques.

Knowledge of basic recordkeeping.

Skill in oral and written communications.

Ability to manage multiple projects.

Ability to achieve effective recruiting results.

Ability to work independently as well as on a team.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.

Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.

Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.

Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.

Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.

This role is an on campus, in-person position.

There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.

The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
