## Description**JOB SUMMARY:**As the Director of Behavioral Health, this position sets the direction of behavioral health services, formulates policy and procedure, supervises behavioral health staff, sets a standard of ethical practice, and guides the implementation of the integrated model of behavioral and primary care. Also, as part of the primary care team, this position identifies, triages, and manages patients with medical and behavioral health problems, providing direct clinical services.\**RESPONSIBLITIES**: *(May include, but is not limited to):** Formulates policies and procedures for behavioral health services.* Provides initial and on-going consultation and support to medical providers and clinic staff regarding behavioral health services.* Integrates behavioral health best practice into program design and delivery.* Supervises behavioral health providers.* Provides training and orientation to primary care providers on behavioral health.* Provides ongoing support to behavioral health staff and provides a forum for discussion of program issues.* Assists in the development of new behavioral health services to address identified needs.* Identifies operational issues and works with management to resolve them.* Helps with submission of grants to expand behavioral health services.* Assures compliance with applicable rules and regulations and grant requirements as they apply to mental health and substance abuse.* Conducts clinical assessments of mental and behavioral health conditions and makes treatment recommendations.* Provides direct clinical therapy services to patients.* Provide crisis support services as needed.* Maintain timely, accurate, and appropriate records.* Participate in quality improvement activities.* Implements Patient Centered Medical Home practices## Qualifications* Licensed Psychologist, PhD preferred* Three (3) or more years relevant experience;* Licensed in the State of Idaho* Ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions;* Ability to work effectively as a team, interfacing with patients, primary care providers, consulting psychiatrist and mental health specialists, as well as with administrative and support staff;* Experience in delivering services to medically underserved populations* Experience with crisis intervention* Competent as evidenced by education, training, and/or experience
