Who are we hiring? The Director Garden of Dreams Foundation Programmingis responsible forthe development, staffing and execution ofhundreds ofevents and experiences that the Foundation conducts on an annual basis. This includes overseeing ongoing events and programs including the Knicks, Rangers, MSG Entertainment, Make A WishprogrammingandDream Come Trueexperiences. TheDirector will also support management of the Foundation’s budget and financial planning and processes. The position serves as the main contact forplanning and management of manyGardenof DreamsFoundationprograms, as well as their staffing and onsite execution. The position serves as the main contact for thethirty (30)Garden of DreamsFoundationpartnerorganizationsand willfosterrelationships with management, day-to-day personnel,familiesandyouthtosupportthe Foundation and its impact. TheDirectoroversees themulti-million budget for all aspects of programexperiencesandevents and ensures adherence to budget parameters.
What will you do?
Responsible for the full portfolio of Garden of DreamsFoundation (GDF)programming, driving collaboration and execution across MSG brands and GDF partner initiatives to maximize reach and impact
Managespartner relationships with 30GDF partnerorganizations to ensure positive impact and issue resolution
Lead the strategic vision and direction for all GDF programs, shaping long-term goals, priorities and impact initiatives aligned with the Foundation’s mission
Direct the planning, production, and execution of the GDF’s signature events, including the annual GDF Talent Show, to deliver a cohesive, high-impact experience for young people
Manages a teamof nonprofit professionalsandis responsible fortheirprofessionaldevelopment
Oversee activities on a day-to-day basis, including all planning, divisional coordination, budget management, external partners management, projectexecutionand follow-up
Responsible for managingprogrambudget and ensuring resources are managed appropriately to achieveobjectivesandimpactpartner organizations.
Responsible for working with counterparts across theMadison Square Garden Family of CompaniesandtheVice President and Executive Vice PresidentleadingGDFon development and execution ofhigh-profileevents that includeyouth, celebritiesandpress, including Knicks, Rangers, MSG Network and MSG Entertainment, mentorship programming, Make A Wish programmingandDream Come Trueexperiences
Overseesthe distribution and accounting ofthousandsofticket and suite donations annually
What do you need to succeed?
A minimum of10+years’ experienceinthe non-profit community
Significant experienceintheexecutingyouth-centered events in a variety of environments
At least fiveyears’ experiencewith NYCcommunity basedorganizations serving children
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Team player and work well with all levels (from entry level to Senior Management)
Experience leading and managing teams
Proficiencies with development and management of budgets
Extremely organized manager and thinker
Advanced degree preferred but notrequired
Special Requirements
Travel within the tri-state area.
Pay Range $113,000 — $170,000 USD
