Responsibilities
Identify and analyse shipping market trends and economic data to inform market outlook.
Produce reports and presentations with market commentary and analysis and deliver them to existing and future clients.
Be proactive and strategic and remain ahead of events and issues that will impact trade flows.
Actively engage, and challenge brokers and our clients.
Provide information to brokers and clients so that they have meaningful information on an accurate and timely basis for them to make best decisions.
Maintain key databases and presentation slide packs.
Provide general assistance with a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests.
Continually look at ways to improve our internal systems, data collection and the delivery of our analysis.
Additional ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other Requirements
Proven market analysis experience within the shipping industry
Experience in the Crude arena will be advantageous and is preferred
Strong IT skills, proficient in using MS Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint & Word
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to analyse large amounts of data quickly and accurately
Demonstrable analytical and report development abilities
Logical thinker with a genuine interest and resourcefulness to understand what information is important then disseminate this information to the relevant audience(s)
Ability to take complex data and themes and translate this into easily understood analysis for the relevant audience(s)
Previous experience in providing data driven business insights an advantage
Extensive experience in delivering presentations
Organised, able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
Commercially minded, able to produce work that adds value to existing client portfolios and supports in showcasing our services to prospective clients
Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, and able to work autonomously
Ability to challenge and think laterally
Adaptable to changing priorities
