We have an exciting opportunity for a
Mechanical Engineer/Designer
candidate looking to start or advance their career with an award‑winning, full‑service design and consulting firm!
At EAPC, our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance.
Responsibilities
Assist the Mechanical Engineering Regional Department Manager and individual Project Managers with development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination, progressing toward independently performing these duties.
Work as an integrated member of a multi‑discipline, in‑house team of Engineers, Architects, and Drafting Specialists using AutoCAD and Revit.
Use TRACE for building calculations.
Research design options and select equipment, layout duct and piping, and create, edit, and detail project drawings.
Review shop drawings, research code issues, and consult with code officials.
Keep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or services through ongoing communication to understand any design or budget constraints that may impact the assignment.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate mechanical engineering work on projects.
Perform construction management, as necessary, during the construction phase.
Accommodate and meet customer demands within deadlines.
Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Passed FE exam, or scheduled to take it within 6 months of hire.
1–3 years of experience preferred; all levels of experience will be considered.
Experience or education in AutoCAD and Revit.
Preference given to experience with TRACE, Ground Loop Design, and eQuest.
Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
Valid driver's license.
Eligibility to work in the U.S.
This position will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Regional Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi‑discipline, in‑house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians.
Job title will be determined based on qualifications.
