How you'll make an impact The Revenue Analyst is responsible for analyzing client revenues and assisting with the accuracy and understanding of what is driving P&L results. This will be done by partnering with GBS Finance and Operations to deliver meaningful insights around revenue. As a part of the Finance team, you will work on special analytical projects from business or finance leadership. This role will work closely with the Senior Revenue Analyst and GBS Finance Leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Case Management
Ensures all cases are setup appropriately for accurate system processing revenue
Maintains renewal dates and term dates in xRM
Assists Corporate M&A teams and the Senior Revenue Analyst with new acquisition partner case setup and revenue tracking
Revenue Management
Handles standard monthly coding sheets with defined processes
Oversees output of GSC team for accuracy and timeliness of assistance in processing revenue, applying cash and processing coding sheets
Reporting
Reports on revenue impact of FC changes to business partners and FP&A
Assists FP&A with analysis as necessary for reporting of actuals to business partners
Maintains appropriate commentary in revenue system to allow audit to understand and approve forecasted revenue within regions
Forecast/Budget Process & Analysis
Works with business partners and FP&A to understand changes needed in FC and updates revenue system appropriately
Understand trends in business, industries and clients to manage forecasting of smaller revenue clients
Works with Senior Revenue Analyst to oversee output of GSC team for accuracy and timeliness of assistance in preparing Monthly FC updates and reports
Oversees forecast automatically calculated by our revenue system
About You Required
Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
Preferred
1-3 years related experience
Strong PC and Microsoft application skills
Excel expertise required (pivots, V-lookups, macros)
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Desire to create meaningful changes to improve our processes and procedures
Basic understanding of IT systems and data flows/interactions between systems
Basic understanding of the various practice areas their revenue recognition and forecasting
Ability to form relationships and collaborate across multiple function both within finance (i.e. reporting, Fin Ops and Revenue teams) and business
Analytical skills. Able to learn and understand all aspects of financial planning and analysis for an organization
Ability to learn business acumen. Bring logical solutions to business issues (not just financial)
Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
