Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Health Enterprise Architect to support one of our federal government clients.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead for diagnosing, resolving, and preventing issues linked to McAfee Policy Auditor agents on Domain Controllers, ensuring continuous Directory Services operations.

Execute advanced troubleshooting for authentication failures, system lockups, and resource contention on Windows Domain Controllers, using systematic escalation protocols for unresolved cases.

Collaborate with Directory Services, McAfee, and cybersecurity teams to assess operational impact, analyze resource utilization, and recommend corrective actions following McAfee product updates.

Lead and coordinate uninstall/reinstall processes for McAfee products, validating successful remediation through post-action system health checks and user experience verification.

Maintain clear, prompt, and comprehensive communication with leadership and stakeholders—issuing incident notifications, progress reports, and after‑action reviews per organizational protocol.

Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical incidents, producing actionable recommendations and process improvements to minimize future disruptions.

Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles, ensuring vital information is preserved across shift changes and for incident response continuity.

Propose and implement permanent preventive controls, such as exemption policies for Domain Controllers during McAfee Policy Auditor deployments—coordinating with product owners for safe update management.

Enforce ITIL 4‑aligned problem, change, and knowledge management practices, incorporating continuous improvement strategies and lessons learned into future operations.

Ensure all incident responses, remediation steps, and security modifications are fully compliant with cybersecurity best practices and DHA policies, including evaluation of exemption requests for potential risk impact.

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support, acting as escalation point for complex system or integration issues, and drive efficient problem resolution in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

Required Qualifications Education:

A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.

Experience/Skills:

9+ years as an Enterprise Architect

Microsoft Certified: Cyber Security Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Required changes based upon the environment, this could be specific to DHA, PEO MS/CIO (J‑6), IOD, or DDSB specific.

Preferred Qualifications

Active or recent DHA experience highly desired.

Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $130,000 – $160,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
