Associate Director of Design

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer packaged goods industry, is seeking a dedicated Associate Director of Design to join their creative team. As an Associate Director of Design, you will be an integral part of the Design Department supporting the Brand Development and Packaging Innovation teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership excellence, and a passion for innovative design, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title Associate Director of Design Location Camden, NJ (Hybrid: onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; open to highly qualified remote candidates) What’s the Job? Lead and inspire a team of designers and a project manager, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance. Shape the creative vision for the Distinctive Brands portfolio, ensuring brand differentiation and relevance in the marketplace. Oversee the development of innovative packaging designs and visual identity systems that enhance brand perception and consumer engagement. Participate actively in commercialization meetings, guiding design implementation from concept to shelf to ensure flawless execution. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Innovation, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to support seamless brand storytelling and product launches. What’s Needed? Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field. 10+ years of extensive experience in brand and packaging design, with a proven track record of strategic and creative leadership. Strong ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners to champion design-led thinking. Expertise in developing visual guidelines, brand strategies, and managing design processes for consistent, impactful outcomes.
