Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Riverbend Country Club is seekinga qualified, highly motivated, team-orientedindividual for the Assistant Superintendent position.This position is a hands-on, actively working position. Riverbend Country Club is a private, member-owned golf club. The course was built in 1957, originally designed by Press Maxwell Jr., and later renovated by Jeff Blume. We are currently building a plan to renovate the golf course in 2027. A 2- or 4-year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or similar. Previous golf course maintenance work preferred. Must be able to keep work areas organized and clean. Must possess basic computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to obtain Texas pesticide licensewithin the firstthree months of employment. Havebasic knowledge of pesticide and fertilizer usage, soil conditioners and alternative methods of plant health management. Ability to diagnose turfgrass disease and nutrient deficiencies. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and correspond with staff, management, and members. Must be willing to be hands-on. Strong problem-solving skills. Must be a motivated individual with goals of advancing in the industry. Willingness to grow and developas an individual, a leader, and a team player.
