
Interior Designer

Design Collaborative is seeking an experienced Architectural Interior Designer who is passionate about creating people‑first interior environments. This role is ideal for a creative, detail‑driven designer who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, owning interior design solutions, and carrying projects from concept through construction.
What You’ll Do
Participate in projects from Interior Concept Design through Construction Administration
Develop interior design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, and construction documentation using Revit, CAD, and BIM tools
Aid in outlining and/or writing specifications sections
Aid in development of interior renderings
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E).
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated interior solutions
Prepare and present interior design ideas to clients, contractors, and colleagues
Partner with Project Managers to support design goals, schedules, and budgets
Coordinate interior specifications, furnishings, fixtures, and materials
Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and on‑site construction observations
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
3-6+ years of professional interior design experience in an architectural design firm
Prior experience with FF&E specifications and working knowledge of procurement process (preferred, not required)
NCIDQ certification or actively working toward certification preferred
Commercial interior design experience, preferably in one or more of the following markets: Education, Workplace, Financial, Religious
Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of the interior design process from programming through construction
Knowledge of interior detailing, materials, finishes, and building systems coordination
Knowledge of code requirements for life safety and ADA
Excellent organization, communication, and time‑management skills
Ability to balance creative vision with technical accuracy and documentation
