Overview The Colorado State Treasury administers and accounts for tax dollars from when they are received until they are disbursed. This position supports the Colorado SecureSavings Program (CSSP) through outreach, marketing, stakeholder engagement, saver support, and education. The role leads outreach and engagement efforts, develops and implements the marketing strategy, and ensures participant satisfaction as employers and their employees invest in the Program.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Outreach: Implement and continually execute the Program’s marketing and outreach strategy, including traditional marketing and community outreach requiring direct relationships with local stakeholders.

Identify target audiences for Program marketing and outreach and segment the audience.

Select appropriate channels for disseminating marketing and outreach materials to external stakeholders such as employer groups and partners.

Support planning and design of marketing, communication, advertising, and outreach materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Deliver presentations at events, webinars, trade shows, and other outreach opportunities.

Content Development: Identify opportunities to create or update resources and materials, including web content, written materials, presentation slides, and audio/visual content.

Coordinate with internal staff and third-party vendors to assign content development responsibilities.

Relationship Management: Maintain engagement with community partners, trade associations, and other stakeholders; develop strategies to expand CSSP reach statewide and in hard-to-reach communities.

Gather and escalate external partner feedback and coordinate with senior CSSP staff to build program knowledge for partner engagement.

Minimum Qualifications Option 1:

Six (6) years of professional experience in communication, community engagement, field organization, marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, sales, or related field. This experience must be clearly demonstrated in your application.

OR

Option 2:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in public relations, communications, liberal arts, public administration, marketing, advertising, journalism, political science, business, international relations, or related field.

And

Two (2) years of professional experience that includes one or more of the following: communication, community engagement, field organization, marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, sales, or related field.

Education Substitutions:

A Master’s degree in a related field substitutes for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with social media campaigns or outreach

Experience presenting to diverse audiences

Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems

Experience creating fact sheets, scripts, and concise materials for stakeholders

Experience writing complex content for varied audiences

Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software

Bilingual in Spanish

Conditions of Employment

Pre-employment background check is required.

Colorado residency is required to apply.

Occasional travel within the State may be required.
