Role Summary As an SMB Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll play a key role in driving our growth across the SMB sector. The position has a strong focus on generating inbound opportunities while also engaging in outbound activities. You will be the initial point of contact for potential customers, setting the foundation for successful sales engagements.
Expectations of this role This role is based in Austin & Toronto offices. We are evolving toward an expectation of approximately 3 days per week in‑office, as business and team needs require. The role can be remote‑first for other GTM roles, but for this position we require an in‑office hybrid schedule.

Communication : Excellent written and spoken communication skills, ability to engage and develop relationships.
Experience : Up to one year or more of relevant customer‑facing experience, preferably in sales or related roles.
Results‑Oriented : Motivated, driven, and focused on achieving targets.
Teamwork & Collaboration : Experience collaborating with Account Executives.

Tech‑Savvy : Comfortable with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or related tools.

What You Can Expect
Pipeline Generation : Focus primarily on generating qualified outbound pipeline, handling inbound inquiries.
Manage & Grow Sales Pipeline : Identify, qualify, and nurture prospects in new and existing Commercial accounts.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with Marketing, Account Executives, and other teams.
Pipeline Generation Skills Development : Build and improve pipeline generation skills.
Continuous Learning : Deepen your understanding of our product and company initiatives.
Leverage Cutting‑Edge Tools : Use Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn to optimize workflow.
Travel : Occasional travel for company meetings and marketing events.
Creativity & Adaptation : Try new tactics and strategies when needed.
Salary (US) Annual base salary between $55,000 USD and $77,000 USD. Commission eligible. Immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, 401k, paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
Salary (Canada) Annual base salary between $56,000 CAD and $78,000 CAD. Commission eligible. Immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program (health, dental, RRSP, paid time off, equity grant, incentive programs).
