
Employment Specialist - Community Based

Overview
Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. seeks a Full‑Time Employment Specialist to support adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The role provides evidence‑based supported employment services and engages clients in community settings.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and indirect evidence‑based supported employment services to eligible adults.
Conduct job development activities, including community outreach and education to employers.
Carry out accurate vocational assessments and document needs and goals in a coherent employment plan.
Document each client contact, perform periodic chart reviews, and update treatment plans in a timely manner.
Plan and monitor services while preserving client dignity and building a natural support system with family, coworkers, friends, and community partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
Sound knowledge of human behavior, mental illness, psychiatric rehabilitation, treatment and recovery.
Understanding of family systems and the social, rehabilitation, and health care systems.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
CPR and First Aid training recommended.
