Construction Foreman - Residential Military Housing

Sevan is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead self‑perform crews and subcontractors on residential military housing projects. This is a working foreman role where you’ll be on‑site every day, leading by example and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

What You’ll Do Lead & Support Your Crew

Supervise and coordinate self‑perform crews (carpentry, concrete, demolition, framing, finishes)

Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and keep work moving on schedule

Train and mentor crew members to build strong, dependable teams

Run the Job in the Field

Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications

Perform layout, measurements, and quality checks

Manage materials, tools, and equipment on site

Identify and resolve field issues quickly, escalating when needed

Deliver Quality Work

Ensure all work meets company standards and contract requirements

Perform daily inspections and address issues proactively

Support QA/QC inspections and testing

Keep the Job Site Safe

Enforce OSHA and company safety policies

Lead daily safety talks and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)

Ensure PPE compliance and maintain clean, organized work areas

Report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately

Communicate & Coordinate

Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades

Participate in safety meetings, foreman meetings, and planning sessions

Keep communication clear and professional across the job site

Track Progress

Report daily labor hours, production quantities, and material usage

Assist with daily reports, timesheets, and equipment tracking

Request tools and materials to keep crews productive

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

5–10 years of hands‑on construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Proven ability to lead crews on self‑perform work (e.g., concrete, framing, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, drywall).

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety practices, and blueprint reading.

Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

OSHA 30, or ability to acquire, is required.

First Aid/CPR, or ability to acquire, is required.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Pay & Benefits The anticipated compensation range for the position is $60,000 to $70,000 based on a full‑time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate with individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401(k) plan.

Work Conditions & Travel This is a fully on‑site role at the project location(s). Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine. Involves movement between floors, and properties to facilitate work. Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
