
Senior Director, Market Access Payer and Contract Strategy

Job Overview:
The Senior Director, Market Access Payer and Contract Strategy will lead market access strategy ahead of the anticipated launch of a novel psilocybin treatment for treatment‑resistant depression, with future expansion into PTSD and other mental health conditions. This role will be responsible for securing coverage, reimbursement, and access across commercial and government payers, working closely with commercial, clinical, and HEOR teams.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned market access leader with a strong track record launching innovative or complex therapies and translating evidence into compelling payer value propositions. Experience in CNS, neuropsychiatry, specialty, or similarly complex disease areas is strongly preferred.

Reports to Vice President, Market Access.
Roles and responsibilities (Include but are not limited to)
Develop and lead the pricing and overall market access strategy in preparation for launch and throughout the product lifecycle, including payer strategy, pricing, reimbursement, and contracting
Develop clear and compelling value propositions that integrate clinical, economic, and real-world evidence to support coverage and influence decision making
Build and execute launch readiness plans and ensure alignment with commercial strategy, marketing, medical and regulatory to ensure integrated access and brand strategies
Leverage data and insights to understand payer needs, assess market trends, and inform strategic decision‑making
Develop access, pricing and reimbursement scenarios and strategies
Oversee the development and submission of reimbursement dossiers and other materials to payers, policymakers, and regulatory bodies
Customize technical data into simple compelling messages
Partner effectively with cross‑functional brand teams to deliver on brand objectives and to ensure alignment
Working collaboratively with the HEOR team develop compelling value propositions that highlight the clinical and economic value of our medicines for patients and the healthcare system
Monitor the latest trends and changes in regulations and policies impacting market access
Drive a market access mindset across the organization
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is required. Master’s degree, MBA, or other advanced degree is preferred
10+ years of experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement or payer strategy within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
Demonstrated success developing and executing access strategies for specialty or complex therapies at launch and throughout the product lifecycle
Strong understanding of payer decision‑making across different payer types (e.g. Commercial, Government, IDNs, Health Systems, etc.)
Proven ability to work cross‑functionality and lead in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to build and scale new capabilities
Familiarity with site‑of‑care and various reimbursement pathways (buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, etc.) and the intricacies of drug pricing and contracting
Compensation Base salary per annum: $260,000 – $290,000 USD.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package. Employees are eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and equity.
