Summary The Leasing Professional reports to the Leasing Manager and serves as the primary contact for residents and prospective residents looking to renew or engage in a new lease. Responsibilities include communication, handling walk‑in traffic, tours, generating lease documents, signing, and closing leases. The Leasing Professional will also assist the Leasing Manager in coordinating resident activities and leasing activities, assist with move‑in, and maintain excellent resident relations through superior customer service. The Leasing Professional is also responsible for complying with all state, federal, and local Fair Housing laws.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Warmly greet visitors, prospective and current residents.
Provide prospective residents with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
Consult with prospective residents to identify requirements and budgets, then match those needs with available floor‑plan options. Conduct phone, online, and tour sales with prospective and current residents.
Conduct background/credit checks and verify other references as directed by Leasing Manager.
Prepare lease files for Leasing Manager’s review and approval; obtain signatures from management and residents.
Coordinate move‑in dates, materials, and processes as directed.
Conduct lead management with residents and prospects following HRA standards.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the market.
Participate in the daily operations of the property. Tour property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive and in good repair; manage shared facilities such as fitness and recreation areas, laundry facilities, and meeting or gathering spaces.
Assist with record‑keeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required.
Maintain positive resident relations through superior service.
Assist with turn walks prior to move‑ins, as well as any other turn‑related duties as directed.
Schedule Monday – Saturday. Daily schedule may vary.

Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or GED; less than one year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
