
RPS Relationship Manager I

Role Summary
Manage and grow a portfolio of retirement plan relationships by delivering proactive service, compliance support, and participant education. This role partners closely with clients and internal teams to drive retention, deepen relationships, and expand assets. It offers strong exposure to client strategy, retirement plan design, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Accountabilities
Manage day‑to‑day client relationships, resolving issues and delivering proactive service to plan sponsors and participants
Advise clients on retirement plan design, administration, and compliance requirements to support satisfaction and retention
Ensure adherence to ERISA, IRS, and regulatory standards, including reporting, testing, and account maintenance
Analyze plan documents and financial data to support accurate administration and identify potential issues
Conduct employee education sessions and provide individualized participant guidance on savings and investment strategies
Identify growth opportunities by cross‑selling and referring clients to internal partners across business lines
Support new business development through RFPs, proposals, and successful onboarding of new plans
Collaborate with internal teams and communicate client insights to strengthen overall relationship management
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
2+ years of retirement plan services or related experience
Working knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations
Strong client relationship, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred:
Professional certifications such as AIF, CEBS, CRPS, or ASPAA
Experience with retirement plan design and participant education
Proven ability to grow client relationships and generate referrals
