Guy Carpenter is a market‑leading franchise at the intersection of insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets. The DNA of the firm is focused on sophisticated structured solutions to solve complex needs for clients. This role puts you at the forefront of the largest growth opportunity in the reinsurance market, with direct exposure to top‑tier banks, global asset managers, GSEs, the most sophisticated insurance companies in the world, and the global reinsurance market.

You will play a central role in originating, structuring, and executing complex Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) and capital relief transactions in a growing and dynamic market, while building and maintaining relationships with clients and reinsurance underwriters around the globe.

This position is based in Philadelphia or New York with hybrid work requirements of at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

Assist in originating and executing Bank CRT and other capital relief trades with leading global financial institutions

Work with a seasoned team on advising and structuring single‑family and multifamily mortgage CRT programs, including transactions with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and global Mortgage Insurance companies

Build and monetize relationships with asset managers, insurance companies, the GSEs, and global reinsurers

Assist in all phases of deal execution—from sourcing and RFP response, to structuring and modeling, through final deal marketing and closing

What you need to have:

3‑7+ years of experience as a dealmaker in private markets, investment banking, structured credit, and mortgage finance

Proven track record demonstrating broad product knowledge across industries including but not limited to consumer credit, commercial real estate, private debt and equity, CRT, complex securitizations, or capital relief transactions

Experience navigating various regulatory capital frameworks

Highly analytical, but equally strong in client‑facing, revenue‑generating situations

What makes you stand out:

Experience navigating complex regulatory capital regimes and structuring balance‑sheet optimisation trades

Existing relationships with banks, insurers, and asset managers

Ability to originate trade ideas, not just execute on them

Background partnering directly with senior client teams to solve complex capital and balance‑sheet challenges

Expertise translating regulatory capital frameworks into actionable transaction strategies that unlock value

MBA and/or CFA
