Our client, a leading Energy and Power Generation organization, is seeking a Technical Writer I to join their team. As a Technical Writer I, you will be part of the Maintenance Operations team supporting maintenance technicians, supervisors, and reliability engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Writer I

Location: Pensacola, FL (On-site)

Pay Range: $34/hour

What’s the Job?

Create, review, and maintain maintenance documentation within the Maximo CMMS system

Develop PM work orders, job plans, manuals, and technical guides

Validate maintenance instructions against OEM manuals and specifications

Collaborate with maintenance teams to verify task accuracy and sequencing

Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards

What’s Needed?

Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and schematics

Strong technical writing and documentation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools

Ability to meet physical demands in an industrial environment while following safety protocols
