Position As a
Director Strategic Sourcing
at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving the procurement strategy and initiatives to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and establish strong supplier relationships. You will report directly to the
Sr. Director Strategic Sourcing
and work out of the
Tempe, AZ
location on a
Hybrid
work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings, working capital improvement, and supplier performance. You will be responsible for developing and executing annual and strategic procurement plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans
Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives
Drive supplier negotiation and contract management
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the procurement team
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies
Improve sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems
Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadership
Qualifications
10 plus years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
Strong leadership and people management skills
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e‑sourcing platforms
International experience with exposure to high‑growth regions
Cross‑functional experience in Digital Technology, Supply Chain and Finance
What We Value
Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, preferable
Extensive experience in procurement and sourcing
Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience
Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management
Demonstrated business and financial acumen
Experience with SAP, e‑sourcing platforms, request for quotation tools, project management tools
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
