Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you’ll do

Be a Team Leader: supervise the team in the Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicate the department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies and advocate for the member, associate, and company.

Be an Expert: maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations to ensure the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance. Manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes and time priorities; collaborate with associates to ensure resources for effective work and share knowledge and training.

Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality, adopt new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner: drive business results by ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a neat, clean and safe work area, ensuring adequate staffing, accurate audit and compliance, producing and displaying merchandise per layout and modeling commitment to member service.

Be a Talent Ambassador: teach and train the team to be highly effective, identify potential and desire in others, provide and develop necessary skills to deliver high‑quality products, encourage career growth for all associates and source new talent internally and externally.

Support continuous improvement: develop, communicate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs, analyze information, monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics and integrity.

Lead and participate in teams: share resources, info, and tools, determine customer needs and business priorities, coordinate and execute work assignments, provide advice, feedback and support to ensure timelines and quality.

Respect the Individual: embrace differences in people, cultures, ideas and experiences; create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected; foster a culture of belonging and attract the best talent.

Qualifications

Minimum: 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or supervising a team.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supervising a team.

Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
