Job Description
Join our dynamic team working on the prestigious new construction project at a major healthcare facility in Jacksonville, Florida. This opportunity involves large-scale healthcare construction projects where you will assemble, install wiring, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
First Shift Pay: 25-30/hr
Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and wire electrical apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Proficiently bend and run conduit/EMT.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Install fuse boxes and perform electrical troubleshooting.
Utilize basic hand tools and personal electrical tools effectively.
Adhere to safety protocols by wearing required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, safety gloves, steel-toed boots, hi-vis vest or shirt, and working pants.
Ensure reliable transportation and punctuality, arriving on-site no later than 6:45am.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of commercial new construction electrical experience.
Proficiency in running and bending conduit.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, terminations, and panel wiring.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with NEC codes.
Experience with high voltage electrical components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of new commercial construction experience preferred.
Experience in healthcare environments, such as hospitals, is valued.
Ability to work independently and oversee a crew.
Recent experience within the last year.
Work Environment Perform electrical work on new construction commercial jobsites throughout Jacksonville. The work environment will vary between outdoor and indoor settings, requiring adaptability to weather conditions. The standard work schedule is 7am to 3:30pm, five days a week, with an expectation to be on site by 6:45am.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
