OPS Video & Digital Media Assistant. Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Video & Digital Media Assistant in Strategic Communications Department. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You’ll Do The Video & Digital Media Assistant supports video production, motion graphics, and digital communications efforts for Tallahassee State College. This role assists in creating engaging visual content that supports enrollment growth, community engagement, and brand storytelling, while gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of media production.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with video production projects, including planning, filming, editing, and delivery.
Supporting interview-based shoots by helping with setup, b-roll capture, and on-camera production.
Editing short-form and long-form video content for social media and digital platforms.
Assisting in creating motion graphics and basic animations for video and digital use.
Supporting social media and digital content efforts, including repurposing video content.
Helping organize project files, footage, and deliverables.
Maintaining studio organization and assist with production equipment.
Collaborating with team members on creative projects and contribute ideas.
Work Schedule
Up to 20 hours per week
Flexible schedule between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a motivated and creative student or early-career candidate who is eager to grow their skills in video production and digital communications within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in digital media, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Basic familiarity with video editing and content creation.
Interest in motion graphics and visual storytelling.
Strong willingness to learn and explore different areas of media production.
Ability to manage time effectively and contribute to multiple projects.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
Experience creating content for social media platforms (Reels, Shorts, etc.).
Basic understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
Interest in higher education, marketing, or brand communications.
