Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Intern will support the Information Security team in strengthening enterprise security posture across applications, networks, and third‑party environments. This role provides hands‑on exposure to security control assessments, secure software development practices, and infrastructure security operations. You will assist with risk management activities, security testing initiatives, and operational support for enterprise security tools and network security technologies. This internship is designed to build foundational experience in cyber security & risk management.
Intern Job Responsibilities
Aid in developing and building Secure Software development life cycle program.
Support developers with security testing of source code and assisting with identifying and managing vulnerabilities (application code, libraries, firmware, containers and operating systems) across information systems.
Assist in reviewing security alerts, vulnerabilities, and remediation tracking.
Assist in performing application risk and control assessments and help develop mitigation strategies for identified risks.
Participate in network security configuration reviews and security device monitoring.
Research and stay informed about the latest security threats, trends, and vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity landscape.
Support various projects within Information Security department as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic programming knowledge (Python or similar is a plus).
Demonstrated understanding of software security testing using tools such as SAST/DAST/SCA.
Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Demonstrated understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, or AWS.
Demonstrated understanding of computer networks, TCP stack, VPNs, Operating Systems, Encryption, Firewall, Threat detection, Authentication, Authorization, etc.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Required Education and Experience
Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF/800-171, ISO 27001/2, CIS, CSA CCM, etc).
Familiarity with Cyber Risk frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO27005, NIST-SP 800-39/37).
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Position Type / Expected Hours of work / Compensation This is a full‑time position for the months of May - August. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
