Education LevelHigh School## Description**Position Overview**The incumbent is responsible for helping the customer order all needed lift truck and material handling parts and getting those parts in the fastest and most cost-effective way. In some branch locations, the position may also require filling the orders, shipping the orders and assembling hydraulic hoses as needed. The incumbent should be highly organized, exhibit technical proficiency and have the ability to complete work in an organized fashion.**Reporting & Supporting Positions:**The position reports to Parts Supervisor / Manager of the Parts Department.**Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:*** Receive customer orders by phone, email, and walk-ins.* Enter orders on a computer terminal to create a parts order document.* Using parts books (online & printed) to research and produce parts orders or price quotes* Contacting vendors for other manufacturer parts prices and availability.* Research and fill parts orders, shipping parts orders, and assembling hydraulic hoses.* Obtain information for items such as backorders as directed by management.* Logical and deductive thinking is required to manage multiple information sources.**Minimum Education, Skills, and Professionalism*** High School diploma (or GED equivalency) required, must be able to read and write, and have basic math and computer skills.* One or more years of prior parts counter experience or equivalent knowledge is preferred.* Organizational and communication skills* Ability to communicate bilingually a plus.* Must be reliable, trustworthy, and an advocate for Darr Equipment.· Must have experience with Microsoft office products and have experience using an ERP system.· Must become Certified for equipment operation prior to operating equipment on the job.**Working Conditions**This position requires one to operate in a professional office environment.Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.This position is a sedentary position that requires 8 hours of sitting at a desk in a climate-controlled environment with frequent computer entry, mouse movement, 10 key touch entry, photocopier operation, scanner operation, and phone work.This position may also require standing and walking, in a non-climate-controlled environment with lifting, bending, carrying of items / safety shoes required and safety glasses required in designated areas**Physical Requirements and Work Content**Americans with Disability Specifications: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
