As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while building retailer relationships and serving as Hallmark’s face. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may assist with other products from different companies in the stores you serve.
Salary and Schedule Details
Starting hourly pay rate: $16.90 to $18.90, depending on skills and experience.
Paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
Voluntary benefits available for part‑time employees, including medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
Variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours: 12‑16 hours per week.
Availability week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use the Hallmark mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology usage is essential for daily work, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Professional interaction with store personnel, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
Holiday support:
During peak seasonal periods (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) you may work additional days and extended hours. For certain holidays you may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
Department resets:
Occasionally support installations and related tasks such as building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notification typically occurs at least two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration:
You are part of Hallmark’s field organization and may support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements Physically demanding job requiring consistent push, pull, lift, and carry of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and may climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate a digital handheld device for documents and information.
Access to Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
