As a Territory Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping customer relationships and driving business growth. From nurturing existing accounts to hunting for new business, this role is all about passion, performance, and partnerships.

What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager:

Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.

Drive Sales Success: Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business. You will do this through delivering impactful sales presentations and tailoring your sales approach to individual customers. Effective time and territory management is critical.

Team Based Selling: Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening. You’ll also work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.

Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations and clubs, and attendance at trade shows and conferences.

Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis‑picks, short loads, stock‑outs).

Competitive Advantage: Know market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.

Stay on the Move: Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check‑ins, site visits and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

SUPERVISION

No direct reports.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Daily outside the office, working in the assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year of sales experience (preferred).

High school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license is required, and a motor vehicle record must be in good standing.

Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management or hospitality experience preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.

Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold‑call to develop new business.

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.

Problem‑solving ability, organization and negotiation skills.

Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Tech‑savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.

Capacity to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Commission.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The initial expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 and $95,000.
