Position Sales Consultant - Wholesale

The Sales Consultant - Wholesale will be responsible for the field execution of the Wholesale Strategy at the account headquarter and branch level as applicable. This includes sales of mechanical, electronic, and residential products to wholesale customers in the Metro New York/New Jersey and New England markets. This role will execute all aspects of the sales process to maximize sales growth and build strong customer relationships through business and account planning and channel promotion development, while collaborating with Allegion field sales, marketing, and product teams to drive incremental revenue and share.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do

Partner with VP - Wholesale and Strategic Account Executives to create, implement and execute business plans.

Develop territory and customized business plans for all key customers, including local, regional, and national wholesale and select lumberyard customers.

Execute business and account planning activities for regional and local branch accounts.

Strategically utilize programs (BDF, Co-Op, Stock rebalance, etc.) to gain leverage in the market.

This field-based sales role requires 2-3 days/week in field, developing relationships, uncovering opportunities, and influencing sale of Allegion solutions, including market specific share gain opportunities.

Execute inventory management process with branch customers.

Develop tailored buying programs for key end users in conjunction with the WA customers.

Execute training on new product, inventory management, and initiatives.

Establish and maintain working relationships with key customers both internally and externally.

Collect all relevant inventory, sales, and share data from assigned accounts.

Manage customer and channel conflict.

Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.

What You Need To Succeed

3+ years of sales experience preferred

High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

High emotional intelligence and customer relationship building skills

Strong background of consultative B2B sales preferred

Proficient knowledge of Mechanical, Electronic and Residential Architectural Hardware

Data-driven and capable of tracking and presenting results. Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn industry specific software.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, organizational, and time management skills

Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action

Understanding of the Wholesale, Locksmith, and Integrator businesses and strategies is preferred

Strong presentation skills required

Ability to travel up to 50% dependent on location in territory

Territory will include Metro NY and Greater New England territory

Compensation This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Total Compensation range: $100,000-$160,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
