Senior Inside Sales Consultant
The Senior Inside Sales Consultant is a critical contributor to Milady’s digital growth strategy driving digital revenue growth through the conversion of existing print accounts to Milady’s digital solutions, including CIMA and ExamReady, using a consultative, outcomes‑focused sales approach.
The role manages a defined portfolio of print renewal accounts and leads structured discovery and customer health check‑in conversations to understand instructional goals, program needs, and readiness for digital adoption. The Senior Inside Sales Consultant identifies high‑impact conversion opportunities and positions Milady’s digital solutions to address instructional, operational, and institutional needs. The role delivers tailored product demonstrations aligned to faculty requirements, program outcomes, and organizational constraints to ensure proposed solutions are both effective and viable. The Senior Inside Sales Consultant owns the sales process through digital conversion and is accountable for revenue outcomes related to print‑to‑digital adoption.
What you’ll do here:
Owning print renewals and identifying top print opportunities each quarter for digital conversion.
Proactively engaging with customers via health check-in calls to understand their needs and uncover digital courseware opportunities.
Conducting sales demos using our digital content platforms like CIMA and ExamReady.
Growing accounts through quarterly check‑ins, assessments, sales pitches, demos, and strong closings.
Handing off converted digital accounts to the Customer Success Manager.
Skills you will need here:
3–5 years of experience in customer success, account management, or educational technology implementation.
Proven track record to lead onboarding and training programs for institutional clients.
Strong consultative and relationship‑building skills to influence faculty and leadership toward digital adoption.
Proficiency in analyzing usage data, identifying risk signals, and accomplishing intervention strategies.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital learning platforms.
Experience handling multiple accounts simultaneously and driving expansion opportunities within existing portfolios.
Compensation At Cengage Group, the full base pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 USD. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
