Under direct supervision, you will provide day-to-day marketing, communication and development support, help ensure strong customer service, and model appropriate behavior exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision, and Values.
What You Will Do
Coordinate day-to-day department projects, implement plans, and support organizational strategies.
Build strong relationships with key audiences to accomplish marketing, communications, and development objectives.
Establish project plans to ensure timely completion and alignment with initiatives, ensuring resources are available and communicating responsibilities to team members and stakeholders.
Assist with marketing/communication/development strategies to implement assigned tactics.
Act as an effective team-builder, building mutual trust and encouraging respect and cooperation among team members to facilitate project completion.
Education and Formal Training Requirements
Required – Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management
Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Communications
Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
Preferred – High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience Requirements
Preferred – Experience in Business, Marketing, or Communications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to influence, build relationships, and motivate others toward goal accomplishment.
Working knowledge of basic business software.
Knowledge of general business, marketing, communications, and operations/community relations principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, style, and usage aligned with MLH strategic direction and Power of One culture.
Analytical skills, flexibility, innovation, organization, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and professionalism.
Technical knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform job responsibilities.
Ability to implement successful project management in response to a variety of department objectives.
Supervision Provided by this Position
No direct supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.
Physical Demands
Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
Must have good balance and coordination.
Physical requirements: light work—exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
Must have close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading.
Conditions: not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed in general office or administrative work settings.
