Executive Secretary
River Valley Services (RVS), part of the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Secretary to support the CEO and Clinical Directors at the Middletown office.
Responsibilities
Coordinate front desk and administrative workflow to ensure continuous coverage across three busy waiting areas.
Participate in administrative staff selection, onboarding, and daily task coordination.
Prepare for Joint Commission Accreditation through policy coordination, documentation management, scheduling, incident reporting, and credentialing support.
Manage executive correspondence and maintain accurate records for leadership and advisory groups.
Coordinate large‑scale meetings, conferences, and multi‑site communication.
Accurately take and transcribe dictation of complex or technical information.
Qualifications
Experience supporting Joint Commission Accreditation or other regulatory/compliance reviews.
Experience with confidential information in a healthcare environment, including familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
Proficient in taking accurate and detailed dictation and transcribing technical information (e.g., meeting minutes, clinical terminology).
Experience providing executive‑level support within a healthcare, behavioral health, or government setting.
Experience coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, or managing administrative operations across multiple locations.
