$16.60per hour (Pay is based on previous experience)
Tuesday through Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm
POSITION PURPOSE: Advocatefor quality Resident Care, assisting Resident in initiating & maintainingquality activity of interest, assuring timely & accurate documentation ofabove. Provides and initiatesappropriate interventions to maximize the residents psychological, social andADL functioning. Assist in observing andreporting changes in resident’s condition.

Maintains the confidentiality of all residentcare information.
Reports all allegations of resident abuse and/ormisappropriation of resident property.
Respects privacy of residents; including thoseas prescribed by HIPAA.
Customer Service
Responds with respect, patience, compassion, andhelpfulness to residents, visitors, and staff at all times.
Maintains a respectful and pleasing tone ofvoice at all times.
Never raises voice in anger, frustration, orshouts to communicate with someone inside or outside building.
Conduct &Professionalism
Attendance & Tardiness: Consistently reports to work as scheduled and properly notifies supervisor when unable to do so.
Maintains a professional appearance by adheringto dress code as prescribed by supervisor and SSL standards.
Maintains an orderly work area.
Maintains positive working relationships withall employees within department and among departments. Sets aside individual differences for thesake of the residents.
Responds appropriately to constructive criticismor corrective action administered by supervisory personnel with SSL.
Responds constructively to changes and/orproblems which may arise on the job to ensure that stress is dealt witheffectively.
Respects the building, grounds, and equipment ofSSL and personal property of residents and visitors.
Safety &Sanitation
Remains alert at all times, assuring that SSLand its residents are safe and secure at all times.
Actively participates in the SSL Safety Programby direct service on the Safety Committee, or by observing and reporting unsafeconditions to supervisor and by performing all assigned duties with proper bodymechanics.
Attends In-Service sessions as required by organizationand supervisor.
Remains task oriented while on the job, with noallowance for horseplay or otherwise distracting oneself or others from theimportant task(s) of caring for residents.
Primary Job Duties
Informs, invites, and escorts residents asnecessary to groups, activities or appointments of their choice.
Welcomes new admissions, provides information onResident Council, calendar, upcoming events.
Delivers packages, gifts and newspapers toresidents in various areas of the building.
Meets weekly or as scheduled with LifeEnrichment Department staff to coordinate accountabilities of the department.
Makes suggestions to the Life EnrichmentDirector for possible group & individual activities to be presented.
Assists in presenting activities as scheduled onthe Activities Calendar.
Offers 1:1 interventions for Residents who areunable/unwilling to participate in group presentations.
Creates an atmosphere of excitement &anticipation through Special Events programming.
Provides “Active Listening” forResidents/Families directed at problem identification & solution. Provides for behavior/adjustmentinterventions as indicated.
Prioritizes day-to-day workload completion.
Performs other duties as required.
