One of the last true daily newspapers in the Rocky Mountain West, the Gazette needs a leader who’s ready to shepherd a talented newsroom with energy, creativity, and a passion for accountability storytelling. As our Managing Editor, you’ll set the tone for our coverage — from quick turn breaking news and ambitious enterprise reporting to data-driven pieces and features that reflect the Billings and wider Eastern Montana community and get people talking. You’ll guide daily story planning, shape long-term strategies, edit and coach reporters and streamline workflows. You should thrive in a busy newsroom, enjoy mentoring journalists, and be excited about evolving how local news is delivered. Responsibilities
