Interior Designer
Louer Facility Planning, Collinsville, IL, United States
Overview
At Louer Facility Planning, we design spaces with purpose — places where people can do their best work, feel supported, and be inspired. We’re a small but mighty team of furniture nerds who love the challenge of getting the details just right. We’re looking for an Interior Designer who is eager to learn, has excellent visual and communication skills, and brings strong technical aptitude and attention to detail to every project. You’ll work closely with senior designers and project managers to develop creative, client-centered solutions that reflect both form and function. What You’ll Do
Work with the design team to create furniture layouts, finish palettes, and presentation materials. Space planning with CET Designer and AutoCAD and product specification CET & Spec software. Translate ideas into visual aids such as 3D sketches, renderings, and digital presentations. Prepare pricing, proposals, and accurate documentation for order entry. Participate in site visits, field measurements, and project walk-throughs. Learn the ins and outs of how commercial furniture is constructed, ordered, delivered and installed. Help keep our showroom looking great and our sample library up to date. Pitch in where needed — we all wear a few hats! What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program. 0–3 years of experience in a design, dealership, or project-based setting. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with CET Designer, SketchUp, or rendering tools a plus. Strong organizational habits and extreme attention to detail. Technical curiosity and an eagerness to understand how things are built and assembled. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Comfort with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Enthusiastic team player and problem solver. Bonus points for skills in graphics, social media, or marketing. What You’ll Love About Us
We’re designers and problem solvers — not salespeople. We foster a collaborative, supportive, and fun team environment. We believe in mentorship, professional development, and doing good work with good people. We offer flex time (up to 40 hours per year) for life’s small but important appointments. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the design and project management process. We’re passionate about what we do — and we want you to love it too. Compensation & Benefits
