Title: Sales Manager Location: Liverpool / North West Salary: Estimated ~£70,000 – £80,000 per annum + benefits Work Style: Office-based with regular field-based client activity Sector: Automotive – Commercial Vehicles / Fleets Team: B2B Sales / Fleet & Commercial Vehicles The Role This role is responsible for driving B2B vehicle sales across the commercial and fleet market. You will manage the full sales process from initial prospect engagement through to order completion and vehicle handover, while building strong, long‑term relationships with key business customers.
The position combines new business acquisition with account development. You will work closely with aftersales, finance, and operational teams to ensure customers receive tailored vehicle, funding, and support solutions aligned to their operational needs.
Duties The Sales Manager will focus on growing revenue through proactive business development, strengthening existing fleet relationships, and delivering against agreed sales targets. The role requires a consultative sales approach, market awareness, and strong commercial negotiation capability.
Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
Identify and secure new B2B and fleet customers within the region
Grow existing accounts by understanding customer operations and future vehicle needs
Present appropriate vehicle solutions, funding options, and service packages
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and part‑exchange or disposal arrangements
Customer Relationship Management
Act as the lead contact for business customers throughout the sales and handover process
Maintain regular engagement with key accounts to support retention and pipeline planning
Ensure a smooth transition from sales to aftersales support
Market Knowledge & Commercial Insight
Maintain awareness of UK commercial vehicle trends, including emissions standards and alternative powertrains
Track competitor activity and provide feedback to internal stakeholders
Use market insight to identify new growth opportunities
Sales Administration & Process
Manage sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting through the CRM system
Coordinate vehicle orders, delivery timelines, and handover documentation
Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Demonstrable success in B2B sales within automotive, commercial vehicles, transport, or a related industrial sector
Experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to deal closure
Confident negotiator with a commercial, target-driven mindset
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working both in the field and within a structured CRM environment
Full UK driving licence
