She Recruits is seeking an accomplished Administrative Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-performing, multi-site Emergency Services division within a large acute care hospital. This executive nursing leader oversees quality, patient experience, clinical operations, throughput, growth, finance, and workforce engagement across a Level II Trauma Center, two Free-Standing Emergency Departments, and a broad network of emergency care services. The ideal candidate brings significant ED leadership experience, strong operational acumen, and the ability to drive performance across complex, high-volume environments. The Administrative Director provides strategic direction and operational oversight for Emergency Services, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This leader drives initiatives to improve patient safety, operational efficiency, throughput, engagement, and service excellence. Responsibilities include developing evidence-based policies, enhancing team culture, aligning financial performance with organizational goals, and identifying growth and expansion opportunities. The role includes direct oversight of multiple leaders and functional areas and plays a key role in advancing the hospital's strategic position in the community. Key Responsibilities: Quality & Clinical Excellence: Implement and sustain evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes Reduce variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and consistency Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and internal benchmarks Lead throughput initiatives, including capacity planning, forecasting, patient flow, and discharge planning Develop policies and nursing standards that support excellent patient and family care Patient Experience: Lead initiatives to elevate the patient experience across all ED sites Use patient feedback metrics to identify gaps and develop improvement strategies Ensure alignment with best practices that support customer service and positive interactions Partner with subject matter experts to maintain high patient satisfaction performance People Leadership: Build a high-performing workforce through talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention Provide coaching, mentorship, and training for leaders and staff Foster a culture aligned with organizational mission, values, and professional practice standards Ensure workforce planning aligns with patient care needs and operational demands Growth & Strategic Development: Collaborate with administrative leadership and physicians to expand existing services and develop new offerings Evaluate opportunities for service line differentiation and increased market presence Stay current on healthcare trends, legislative changes, reimbursement models, and competitive dynamics Represent the Emergency Services division in community and organizational events Financial Leadership: Lead annual budgeting for Emergency Services, including revenue forecasting, staffing models, and supply needs Monitor performance against budget and implement corrective actions when needed Ensure effective labor management, including staffing, scheduling, and productivity standards Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the division Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required (Nursing strongly preferred) Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 3 years of recent acute care ED leadership experience (Director or large ED Manager) Strong operational, financial, and strategic leadership capabilities Demonstrated success leading high-volume emergency departments
