The Sr. Purchasing Manager leads a team responsible for procuring materials and components for the Boston Scientific manufacturing sites in North America and ensures the continuity of supply needed to support production and deliver products to customers and patients worldwide. This role is responsible for managing spend, inventory targets, and championing the integration of predictive analytics and AI into purchasing workflows to enable scalable growth, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing direct purchasing strategies and goals to optimize and maintain healthy inventory levels and mitigate supply risk
Ensuring a stable supply chain through effective supplier management, inventory control and strategic partnerships
Aligning direct purchasing with internal and external SI&OP processes to ensure effective coordination of supply and external capacity planning
Delivering materials management support to new product development and acquisition integration teams from concept through commercialization
Partnering with global sourcing, production, engineering and quality teams to drive improvements and achieve business objectives
Collaborating with customers and key partners to establish supplier strategies that meet service commitments and resource needs
Monitoring purchasing processes and supply chain performance to ensure optimal results and compliance
Driving Lean business process improvement strategies to enhance safety, quality, service and cost performance across the organization
Establishing and monitoring performance against annual and long-term budgets; improve financial performance, inventory levels and spend
Partnering with global purchasing, finance and quality teams to ensure alignment with Boston Scientific policies and requirements
Integrating digital analytics and AI into purchasing workflows to enhance accuracy, enable data‑driven decision‑making and improve efficiency
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of people leadership experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management
Familiarity with data analytics, ERP and advanced procurement systems
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain operations, industrial engineering or business administration
Experience with AI or machine learning applications in supply chain
Experience with digital twin modeling or smart factory environments
Minimum Salary: $125,800
Maximum Salary: $239,000
