
DMC Contracting Specialist

Position Summary
The DMC Contracting Specialist supports the Product Team by researching, collecting, and managing supplier and product information for land services and accommodation. The role ensures that contract terms, product details, and commercial information are accurately documented, organized, and maintained within internal systems, making them easily accessible to sales and operational teams. Acting as a central information resource between suppliers and internal systems, the Specialist helps maintain a well‑documented and competitive product portfolio and supports the development of new destinations by identifying potential partners, gathering market intelligence, and contributing to the expansion of the company’s product offering.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Maintain rate agreements and contract library
Update and maintain supplier info in all systems and disperse to all teams
Maintain supplier audit process and insurance information
Assist the Product team in identifying new products and destinations with current or new suppliers
Assist in managing & controlling supplier costings, excursion pricing, and margins
Conduct product training for sales teams (external and internal)
Assist with marketing initiatives (educational, fam trips, staff requests) & AK website content
Assist with ad hoc projects pertaining to supplier information
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical and commercial awareness
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and maintain complex information
Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, problem‑solving ability, and self‑motivation
Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian geography, including key tourist destinations and attractions
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production and commercial deadlines
Technologically proficient, including Microsoft Office applications; experience with travel software platforms (particularly Travel Studio) is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an asset
Education
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field preferred and/or equivalent related industry experience
Special Requirements
Hybrid role based in A&K’s Downers Grove, IL office (4 days in‑office, 1 day remote)
Salary 50–57k; position is bonus eligible
