Job Overview We are seeking a seasoned

Director of Internal Communications

to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across the Americas region. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing colleague communications and engagement strategies that align with Oliver Wyman’s business goals and culture. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of experience working closely with senior executives, with a proven ability to influence, communicate, and embed organizational values deeply across a complex and dynamic environment. This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days per week in the office. There is no option to be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic internal communications and change management advisor to senior leaders across the Americas region.

Develop and drive an internal communications strategy for the Americas region, including audit of current approaches, segmentation, channel strategy, and execution.

Craft leadership communications and guide engagement strategy across key touchpoints such as town halls, partner calls, in‑person sessions, social media, and other channels.

Lead change management and crisis communications on global firm priorities and advise on crisis communication approaches.

Collaborate with Marketing and Global Brand Center to drive colleague engagement and education for the new brand identity.

Provide advisory support on internal communications strategies to broader leaders, including practice and function leaders, and develop a toolkit of best practices.

Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through measurement and AI, establishing KPIs, a metrics dashboard, and feedback mechanisms.

Represent the firm’s commitment to effective internal communications at senior leadership forums and regional meetings.

Oversee one direct report: Manager, Internal Communications based in New York City.

Serve as senior leader within the global internal communication team, mentoring colleagues and driving key global initiatives such as technology function communication, alumni strategy, and careers office pilot.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, marketing, colleague engagement, organizational development, or related fields, preferably within professional services or consulting firms.

Demonstrated success working with senior‑level executives as a strategic advisor.

Strong expertise in designing and executing engagement strategies that drive cultural alignment and business results.

Exceptional strategic communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver clear, persuasive messages to diverse audiences.

Proven change management experience and ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple locations.

Data‑driven mindset with experience using engagement metrics and insights to inform strategy.

Collaborative, empathetic leadership style with strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.

Open to occasional travel within North America to support regional engagement activities and leadership meetings.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Benefits and Compensation The applicable base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $225,000. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives and offers a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
