MaxMyInterest, Chicago, IL, United States
Business Development Associate
Six Trees Capital LLC is a financial technology company that operates MaxMyInterest.com ("Max"), an intelligent cash management solution that helps individual investors earn dramatically higher yields on cash. Max's patented technology helps clients reallocate funds among their checking and high-yield savings accounts each month, so they can earn the highest yield while keeping their funds safe in their own FDIC-insured bank accounts. Max is available to individuals as well as through financial advisors at thousands of leading wealth management firms nationwide. More information, including bios of our management team, advisory board members, and press coverage, can be found at MaxMyInterest.com. What We're Looking For
We're looking for a diligent, solutions oriented professional who is excited about being a core member of the commercialization team at a rapidly-growing company. Who You Are
We're looking for a business development associate with strong written and verbal communications skills, who excels at conveying concepts by email, phone, or over webinars to financial professionals. Good listening skills are also important, so that we can continue to learn from our clients and incorporate feedback into our products. You will have a minimum of 23 years of work experience in financial services, and be able to flourish in a position that requires a lot of interaction with partners ranging from smaller wealth management firms to larger enterprises. You are also able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote-first team environment. While this is not a traditional commission-based sales role, you will enjoy scoring "wins" and being recognized by your teammates, and have strong personal motivation with a desire to learn and achieve results. In This Role You Will
Help manage inbound requests from partners (generally financial advisors and client services teams who support them) who are seeking to learn more about our products, ask questions, or desire a walk-thru/demo via Zoom. Manage an engagement program to maintain regular contact with partners using data to prioritize outbound efforts (by email, phone, and email marketing campaigns) to stay on the radar of partners who have referred clients to use our service. Provide support to the Head of Business Development to help manage important relationships, acting as an account manager. You will also play a role in managing and improving our reporting systems, e.g. CRM, and inbound business inquiries. Partner with our client services organization, Member Services, to identify and resolve issues, offer white glove support to VIP clients, assist with onboarding new clients, and ensuring the needs of our clients are being met on an ongoing basis. Use data to drive decision making and prioritization. You should be honest, astute, and persuasive, persistent, highly-motivated, and a self-starter. While communication skills are key, you are also adept at managing processes, such as how often and with whom to follow up, identifying better ways to do things, and open to taking on special projects. Opportunities for advancement include taking on greater responsibility for sales and the development and oversight of partner relationships. This is an opportunity to be among the first group of employees at a company that is bringing meaningful change to a multi-trillion dollar market that constitutes one of the biggest sectors of the U.S. economy. The Business Development Associate will report to the Head of Partnerships and Business Development, with ample opportunity to interact with the Director of Operations (who manages a support team for end customers) and our Chief Operating Officer.
