Inside Sales Specialist - Radiology
PURPOSE
The Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) is responsible for driving demand generation, opportunity creation, and topline revenue growth within assigned radiology accounts. This role involves full ownership of end-to-end account management and demand generation across the complete portfolio—including all computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) devices as well as contrast media—to ensure consistent revenue expansion.
This role is accountable for both new opportunity generation and renewal sales, consistently meeting or exceeding topline targets. By leveraging analytics, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and targeted campaigns, the role ensures customer‑centric outcomes. Operating under the Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) model, the specialist collaborates closely with Account Growth Managers (AGMs), Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and product squads to align efforts and deliver integrated solutions.
The coverage will be hospital systems in Southwest and Mountain regions. The position is residence based and the ideal candidate would live Pittsburgh, PA, Texas or Colorado.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Own end-to-end account management process for assigned accounts, including developing account plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring execution across the customer lifecycle
Achieve opportunity generation and sales targets within assigned territory/accounts
Engage radiology administrators, technologists, IT, and procurement stakeholders to assess needs and position Bayer solutions
Accountability to revenue goals for the designated set of accounts, and for executing on key initiatives and campaigns according to customer or business need, in partnership with the Customer Squad AGMs and the Dynamic & Field Customer Excellence Squads
Use data analytics, targeting tools, and robust CRM systems (including input and maintenance such as call logging and opportunity tracking) to generate and close new opportunities, including Point‑of‑Sale and Post‑Warranty Service attachment opportunities
Coordinate seamless sales handoff to relevant service, implementation, or renewal teams, ensuring customer commitments are well‑documented and continuity of engagement is maintained post‑sale
Engage current customers in select account segments to assess needs, ensuring ongoing solution alignment, and build long‑term relationships
Maintain transactional relationships with customers, occasionally executing touchpoints to advance portfolio adoption
Providing input to the overall portfolio Dynamic Customer Engagement strategy and executing on that strategy
Provide timely customer feedback and insights to inform marketing, product, and field strategies
Ensure all engagements are fully compliant with Bayer policies, regulatory, and ethical standards
WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in healthcare sales or inside sales experience (medical device, software, or pharma) (Minimum 3+ years preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of radiology with strong knowledge of medical devices, software, contrast media, and service portfolio
Knack for leveraging internal tools and systems to effectively support business processes and decision‑making
Strong virtual/remote engagement skills — phone, email, and digital platforms
Personal strengths include communication, objection‑handling, and consultative selling skills
Comfortable working in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
Ability to deal with ambiguity; learn on the fly in a safe to try environment, and critical thinking skills
Drawn to being self‑directed, detail oriented, highly organized and delivering within set timeframes, in order to be an accountable team member within the squad
Strong competency in Customer Focus, Driving for Results, Integrity & Trust, Ethics & Values and Compassion

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $68,000 - $103,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
