Orbis is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
Sr. Capture & Business Development Director , with a passion for winning new business and being involved in all the stages of the capture and proposal process. Orbis is looking for an accomplished senior capture & proposal professional with a verifiable record of client growth and business expansion
supporting LPO and other IC customers.
A successful candidate specializes in capture strategy and development to include shaping and positioning activities, partnering and teaming, competitive intelligence, gap analysis, and proposal writing. Strong industry experience across the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). Experienced in developing pipelines and opportunity identification. Strong interpersonal skills and highly adept at diplomatically facilitating discussions and negotiations with external and internal stakeholders. The candidate must be able to write RFI and RFP materials, perform research, and be prepared to actively contribute to all captures and proposals. Candidates must attend meetings with NCR customers and industry partners, and at Orbis HQ in McLean, VA, and work from classified office in Reston/Hendron, VA area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Successful execution of capture strategy and proposal development for all assigned opportunities
Complete all actions to position winning bids to include productive partnering, innovative solutioning, detailed gap analysis to ensure all requirements are met, and identify competitive price to win strategies
Develop RFI, white papers, marketing materials and unsolicited proposals
Coordinate and write compliant and compelling winning proposals
Support and participate in color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold & White Glove)
Collaborate with program managers, SMEs, and business leaders to create and validate accuracy of materials
Leverage AI tools and organize documents to improve quality, efficiency, and content development
Review and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with customer requirements
Monitor classified acquisition sites to identify and track opportunities, and grow pipeline
Attend events to gather information from customers on opportunities and meet partners
Analyze and remain current on industry competitive intelligence to ensure Orbis is positioned to win
Be primary point of contact for Orbis senior management and teaming partners on all assigned opportunities
Develop and implement process improvements to help improve proposal quality.
Provide business development support to include identifying new opportunities to grow Orbis' Federal Intel Business Unit
Education
A bachelor's degree is required for this position
Clearance & Experience
Active TS SCI w Poly clearance
Minimum of 10 years of capture management experience supporting Intelligence Community customers,
including LPO.
Required Skills & Abilities
Experience supporting federal government capture and proposal efforts
Demonstrated success identify, qualify, capture, and win opportunities
Proven proposal development experience
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
Proven ability to manage and grow opportunity pipeline
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
Desired Skills/Abilities
A Master's degree is preferred but not required for this position
Knowledge of capture and proposal development processes and compliance standards
Experience supporting industry engagement activities or events
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Participation in virtual and in-person meetings
Ability to attend planned meetings and work in classified space for prolong time periods within the Washington Metro Area region
