Associate Director of Technology Strategy
Verizon, Irving, TX, United States
Associate Director, Technology Strategy
We are adding an Associate Director of Technology Strategy to our business marketing team to serve as the primary bridge between Martech business strategy, complex technical execution, and next‑gen personalization in a high‑impact, high‑visibility role. As a decisioning strategist you must have experience with Pega or a similar decisioning tool, AI and machine learning, and the ability to lead large‑scale teams and programs through agile delivery. As a next‑gen personalization expert you must have a clear vision on how to bring personalization to the next level in the age of AI, enabling true agentic and 1:1 personalized omni‑channel customer experiences. As a leader you must be comfortable defining success through building detailed program roadmaps and complex business cases that will serve as the plan to follow as you lead your team to success. You must be comfortable with storytelling, including speaking to executive leaders and building impactful PowerPoint decks to highlight the impact of the work the team is delivering. Each year you will be responsible for delivering a roadmap of $5‑10 M of capital translating into business impact: saving our customers and selling our products through delivery of technology that transforms the business.

What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is a technical strategist with a business brain. You are likely a MarTech professional who became obsessed with the algorithmic logic of decisioning and nuances of 1:1 omni‑channel personalization, or a technical analyst who found they had a gift for executive communication and high‑stakes storytelling. You are confident, driven, and aspirational—someone who thrives in the ambiguity of technical delivery and enjoys the challenge of distilling the complex into the simple. You are a strategic thinker who understands that a world‑class personalization engine is useless without a great business strategy to power it. As a leader, you have a proven track record of navigating large teams through high‑pressure delivery cycles, fueled by an energetic drive to transform the business and lead your team to success.
