About the Role The Product Development and Foodservice Sales Support role requires knowledge of value-added processing, marketing programs, new product launches, and daily sales activities. This individual will need to develop a strong understanding of our products and processes and engage with customers to better understand their needs. Qualified candidates will enjoy working in our fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be team-oriented. This role includes relocating to the desert region and working out of our Yuma, Arizona, processing facility from November to April, and seasonally moving to Salinas from April to November.
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside the foodservice sales team. Sales support will include, but is not limited to, keying orders, communicating with production, and working with customers to resolve any issues that may arise.
Working alongside the product development team and operations (Ag ops, forecasting, plant operations & QA team) to support the product development process – including trials, new product requests, and customer inquiries. Acting as a support liaison between sales and the operations team.
Supports foodservice customers and sales team with conferences, meetings, presentations, and marketing needs related to new product development.
Potential for travel within the Taylor Farms network, which may be customer-, business-, learning-, and/or company-related.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, crop production, Operations/Systems Management – preferred.
Strong problem-solver and initiator
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
Collaborator who will exceed assigned responsibilities and assist others to reach objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
