This position reports to MONM Division General Counsel

Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic legal advice and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB. Each day, you will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will be mainly accountable for

Provide end-to-end legal support for project business activities, including EPC contracts from tender through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and closure.

Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders (commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, supply chain) to ensure compliance and protect company interests.

Manage legal risk across diverse areas, including competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations, claims, and litigation support in partnership with global legal teams and subject matter experts.

Contribute to integrity initiatives and broader legal projects, supporting investigations, policy adherence, and participation in regional and global Legal & Integrity teams.

Qualifications for the role

Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission and minimum 12 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE), with substantial exposure to international legal, commercial, and regulatory matters

Expertise in contract law and negotiation, including EPC/project contracts, distribution agreements, government contracting, intellectual property, and digital law (SaaS, cybersecurity, AI, data privacy).

Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, assess risk, and deliver practical solutions in complex environments.

Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset, with experience in cross‑country, multicultural settings and capacity to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.

Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work independently while contributing to strategic legal initiatives and compliance frameworks.

Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the U.S.

While base salary is determined by the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $142,500 and $228,000 annually and is eligible for a short‑term incentive plan/annual bonus.
