This Account Manager role focuses on leading land-and-expand initiatives for a fast-growing audit software company serving CPA firms nationwide.
This PE-backed vertical SaaS platform is designed to automate and streamline audits for CPA firms, reducing audit hours and helping audit teams improve efficiency and quality. With a strong product-market fit and recent PE investment, they are now professionalizing and upleveling the sales and Account Management functions. With meaningful existing logos and significant white space across the customer base, this is a high-ownership opportunity to define expansion strategy and drive meaningful revenue growth within CPA firms.
What You Will Own Own retention + expansion revenue within existing CPA firm accounts, increasing the number of audits processed through the platform - help scale and modernize their audit practices
Conduct QBR-style reviews and advisory conversations with CPA Partners and Audit Leads
Strategic partnership meets upsell + cross-sell: drive adoption that results in audit efficiency and further usage
Lead monthly touchpoints, with increased engagement during peak audit season
Host client events, including Lunch & Learns, to deepen adoption and engagement
Contribute to refining expansion strategy and account management methodology
Approximately 20 to 30% travel for client engagement and industry events
What You Need to Be a Fit This role is a strong fit for Account Managers with experience in audit, CPA firms, or consultative software sales into accounting professionals.
Experience retaining and managing expansion-focused books of business
You have sold or expanded SaaS solutions within professional services, ideally CPA firms
You are comfortable leading consultative conversations with CPA Partners or Audit leaders
You can drive adoption and navigate change management within established audit workflows
You are comfortable operating in a high-accountability, high-ownership environment with ambiguity as they dial in new processes
You have a CPA background or prior hands-on audit experience
You have worked in a land-and-expand software sales motion
You enjoy refining processes and helping build a structured Account Management function
