Key Account Manager - Automotive

An international electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager Automotive to lead strategic business development across major European OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. This role offers the opportunity to own key automotive accounts and drive growth across cutting-edge sensor and component technologies used in next-generation vehicles. The Role Take full commercial and strategic responsibility for major accounts including leading names in powertrain, braking systems, and fluid technologies. Manage European projects across sensor and component lines (approx. $5.5M annual turnover), coordinating customer programs and new business development. Build strong partnerships with global colleagues to align account strategies across Europe, Asia, and North America. Develop and implement growth plans, manage quotations, and lead regular business reviews to strengthen long-term customer relationships. Represent the company as a trusted advisor for technical and commercial matters, ensuring customer and market needs are fully addressed. Requirements Degree in Electronic Engineering, Economics, or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ automotive sales experience with Tier 1, Tier 2, or OEM customers - ideally with sensors or passive components. Proven success in contract negotiation and key account growth. Fluent in German and English, with strong presentation and communication skills; additional languages desirable. Proficient with Microsoft Office and database tools for commercial reporting and customer management.
